Year-Round Tourism — Making Peachland a Destination in Every Season

🍑 Peachland shouldn't close when summer ends.
We are fortunate to live in a community that people already want to visit. Our lakefront, beaches and patios make Peachland a natural summer destination. But I believe there is an opportunity to do much more throughout the rest of the year.
Year-round tourism doesn't mean trying to turn Peachland into something it isn't. In fact, I think our small-town character is one of our greatest assets.
It means giving people more reasons to come here — and more reasons to stay a little longer — in spring, fall and winter 💐 🍂 ❄️
We already have a foundation to build on: our waterfront and trails, arts and culture, community events, restaurants and local businesses, hiking and cycling, and winter recreation in our backcountry.
The opportunity is to connect these assets and promote them more effectively throughout the year.
More activity during the shoulder seasons can help our restaurants, shops and small businesses operate more consistently, create employment opportunities and strengthen our local economy — without relying solely on summer traffic.
I would like to see Peachland continue working with our business community, tourism organizations and community groups to develop events and experiences that draw visitors throughout the year, while ensuring tourism continues to complement the community residents call home.
The goal isn't simply more tourists. It's a stronger year-round local economy that still feels like Peachland 🍑.
